Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
